Lorain County Growth Partnership Presents Workshop on Training Funding Available for Business

 The Lorain County Growth Partnership is presenting a workshop for businesses to learn how to access state and local funding that can be used to train employees.

The workshop will be held from 9:30-11 a.m. and again from 1:30-3 p.m., Thursday, July 16 at the Lorain County Community College Spitzer Conference Center.  Business owners or their representatives can attend either session.

The sessions will cover new program requirements for training grant applications, eligible targeted industries, training categories and funding structures based on company size.

Susan Dukeman, regional workforce development director for Region 8 of the Ohio Department of Development, will present information on the Ohio Workforce Guarantee Program. Mary Murphy, manager of adult transitions at LCCC, will provide information about programs available through the Lorain County Growth Partnership including Project Ten.
