Spotlight on Stocker Arts Center Gives Preview to Upcoming Season

ImageThe Lorain County Community College Stocker Arts Center will hold its fourth "Spotlight on Stocker" event from 4-7 p.m., Monday, July 20. This event introduces the upcoming lineup of performances for the 2009-2010 Stocker Arts Center season.

The event is free and open to the public. Registration is required. Call (440) 366-4140 to RSVP. 

"This open house gives everyone a chance to see that the best in arts entertainment are close to home at LCCC," said Janet Herman Barlow, Stocker Arts Center director.

Patrons will get a preview of the Performing Artists Series, the Random Acts Series, the Film Series, Gallery exhibits and Arts and Humanities division performances for the new season. Plus there will be live entertainment, games, and other activities like a "Behind the Scenes" tours of the Stocker Arts Center. The tours will include backstage, the dressing rooms, costume shop and a ride on the orchestra pit elevator.

There will also be door prize raffles including a grand prize of a season subscription for the Performing Artists Series (winner must be present). Patrons will be able to buy tickets for any performance during this event from the box office that will be open from 2-7 p.m.

"This is the best time to enjoy all that the Stocker Arts Center has to offer residents of Lorain County," she said.
